Everyday life with Hannah

Chris had let Hannah sleep with her pony tail in and she woke up from her nap with some wild hair.

I just know that Hannah is going to be a great big sister.....look at how she takes care of her baby.

Hannah still plays with feet when she eats....she will say "foot", and then hide it under the tray and say "where go?"

We had been trying to potty train Hannah.  It was not going very good, so we stopped for a while.  She must have grasped the concept better than what I thought because she takes her babies potty and will say "go pa-pa"

Hannah taking a bath....she has been showing promising skills of organizing and cleaning.....I hope that the ideas will stick with her when she gets older.

She may be a toddler, but after her bath she still likes to bundle up like a baby....how sweet!!

Finally......Hannah cuddled up in her daddy's big blanket while we made breakfast....she looked so cute!!!

Play day, picture day, last days of summer......

Last week before all the snow, Hannah had a play date at the school play yard with Morgan.  It is really fun watching how the girls are beginning to interact with each other.

Hannah and Morgan on the "big" girl swings!!!!  How crazy is that to think that they are old enough to swing on a real swing!!!

Here is Hannah checking out some of the play equipment....

This is Hannah at 18 and 1/2 months and so is the new fall picture at the top of the blog....I had this planned for her 18 month picture, but she fell and hit her face.  She looked like she had ate some grape candy and stained her lips, so I had to wait until the bruising went away.  This picture was taken in our barn.....all the pumpkins came from our garden.  Does anyone need little pumpkins to decorate???

Hannah riding Gus....this little girl is a natural at riding.  She never has any fear and she sits up there like she was born on top of horse.

Our faithful little dog Kip....he is never far from us when ever we are out side

This is what the flat out in front of our house looked like that day......we love enjoying the art work that God provides us....the flat has a different look almost every day.....and finally Hannah was rocking her baby and looking out at the view herself....she is an outside girl.  She never passes up a chance to go outside.

The last two weeks in September

Hannah and her kitten can almost always be found together.  She likes to carry the kitten around and the easiest way to carry the kitten is by its neck.  She also likes to give the kitty a ride her her baby stroller.  Usually where Hannah is, so is her kitten.

Hannah likes to talk on the phone.....a lot....this time she was talking to Grandpa who she calls "pampa"

Chris and I have been doing a lot of canning, we finally finished our last batches today.  Total we had 14 quarts of tomatoes, 22 pints of salsa, 8 and 1/2 pints of grape jelly, 11pints and 5 1/2pints of jalapeno jelly.  Most of the ingredients were from our own garden.  Dr. Brittan gave me the grapes from his vineyard and the Wilkies gave us some the jalapenos.

We took a mini vacation 2 weeks ago to see my friend Chelsea from college and take a trip into Lincoln.  It was really a nice break for both of us after our busy summer.

Our big girl is learning how to feed herself.  When we are at home, we take off all of her clothes and let her go to town.  See her shirt on the hutch behind her?  If you have noticed, most of these pictures are of Hannah in her diaper.  Don't rush her clothes....she has plenty.....she just likes being in her diaper the best.  I am sure that will change when the weather cools down some.

Chris, his dad and Bill, his dad's other hired man, finished baling the alfalfa today.  They put up small square bales for Chris to have in the barn for storms.  How lucky I am that I am pregnant...all I had to do was drive the pick-up so Chris could load the bales.  This is Hannah and her daddy on some of the hay.  It took quite a bit of convincing get her up there....apparently she has her mother's fear of heights.   Well....I think that is it for this post.....I know that it was a long one, but it has been a little over 2 weeks since I posted.  Hopefully I will do better next time!!!
