Activities of a toddler and a newborn....

My little girls are busy....just each in their own way

Jessa at three weeks

Jessa at three and 1/2 weeks.  She is sleeping in my arms right now.  I can not believe how content she is all the time. She is so cuddly.  She only wakes once during the night and is so easy to please!!!

  Hannah climbing and getting into...EVERYTHING!!!!!!

Cloth diapers...yup...working on the budget...Hannah is even diapering her baby in them!!!  Look at the size difference in diaper covers...can you believe my big girl fit into the newborn cover??

Both of the little girls seem to enjoy the baby swing....each in their own way...we have to watch Hannah when Jessa is in the swing...She gets a little carried away with the swinging!!

Look at my beautiful flowers I got in the mail!

Hanging out with Hannah

Hannah being ever so helpful to her mommy...Do you see the bulb syringe...that was not my idea...but she was sure she was helping so who could resist a picture??

This is my sweet Hannah cleaning....again...anything that she can clean she will...after she was done "cleaning" the water jug, she put the handle up and hung the wash cloth on it to dry.  Today she spilled her juice and she went to the drawer and got a wash cloth to clean it up.  The biggest question is....will it last??

This was our Thanksgiving dinner...we ate a home this year...it was the first time I ever cooked an entire Thanksgiving meal.

This is Hannah after the meal...She enjoyed her meal so much that she needed a bath before she could take a nap!!

This is Hannah modeling her Big Sister shirt!!

This is Hannah modeling how a breast pump works....she got that off the counter and was sitting so quiet on the steps...when I went to investigate this is what I found!!

My "little" girl is getting so big so fast!!!  She can reach on top of the book case where I had her piggy bank. I had to move it to a higher place because she would not leave it alone....When she had it down, we had to take all the money out a couple of times and put it back...she also holds the horse and kisses it telling it "good boy."  As a final note...the clothes she has on are 3T...and they fit!!!

Jessa Faith

On November 11, we welcomed Jessa Faith into our family.  She weighed in at 8lb 3.2oz and was 21 inches long.

This is Hannah at 20 months old and Jessa at 1 week old.  I think that Hannah likes her baby sister...what do you think?

 Hannah helping her Mommy cook

Hannah likes to help set the table..This is how she does it...that night she also took a cracker that was her's for a snack and broke it into pieces so that we all had food on our plates...what a tender hearted little girl!

This is what Jessa looked like today, all pretty in pink!  She is 11 days old...looking pretty cute.....Hannah and I were also busy today...we have been trapped inside for way too long, so we took advantage of the day and went for a ride...We rode Gus around the yard area for about 20 minutes while Jessa took a nap.

Here is a slide show of me and Hannah...I am 39 weeks pregant and Hannah is 19 months old.  We had a "close call" on November 4.  I was sure it was the real thing....but since I am still pregnant it was not.  Well any way that gave us a chance to "run through the drill" and get some good pictures of me being pregnant instead of just snap shoots.  Hannah is still just as cute as ever.  She kisses my belly and rubs it saying "baby, baby, baby."  I can already see her doing that to the new baby  once it is actually born.

Everyday life with Hannah

Chris had let Hannah sleep with her pony tail in and she woke up from her nap with some wild hair.

I just know that Hannah is going to be a great big sister.....look at how she takes care of her baby.

Hannah still plays with feet when she eats....she will say "foot", and then hide it under the tray and say "where go?"

We had been trying to potty train Hannah.  It was not going very good, so we stopped for a while.  She must have grasped the concept better than what I thought because she takes her babies potty and will say "go pa-pa"

Hannah taking a bath....she has been showing promising skills of organizing and cleaning.....I hope that the ideas will stick with her when she gets older.

She may be a toddler, but after her bath she still likes to bundle up like a baby....how sweet!!

Finally......Hannah cuddled up in her daddy's big blanket while we made breakfast....she looked so cute!!!

Play day, picture day, last days of summer......

Last week before all the snow, Hannah had a play date at the school play yard with Morgan.  It is really fun watching how the girls are beginning to interact with each other.

Hannah and Morgan on the "big" girl swings!!!!  How crazy is that to think that they are old enough to swing on a real swing!!!

Here is Hannah checking out some of the play equipment....

This is Hannah at 18 and 1/2 months and so is the new fall picture at the top of the blog....I had this planned for her 18 month picture, but she fell and hit her face.  She looked like she had ate some grape candy and stained her lips, so I had to wait until the bruising went away.  This picture was taken in our barn.....all the pumpkins came from our garden.  Does anyone need little pumpkins to decorate???

Hannah riding Gus....this little girl is a natural at riding.  She never has any fear and she sits up there like she was born on top of horse.

Our faithful little dog Kip....he is never far from us when ever we are out side

This is what the flat out in front of our house looked like that day......we love enjoying the art work that God provides us....the flat has a different look almost every day.....and finally Hannah was rocking her baby and looking out at the view herself....she is an outside girl.  She never passes up a chance to go outside.
