Happy Birthday Jessa!!

Our little Jessa had her first birthday on November 11!!  We celebrated on November 13 with family and friends at Great Grandma Lou's house.  We had Jessa's favorite meal of spaghetti.  Then later we had cake and icecream.  How wonderful it is to have the families come together to celebrate with Jessa!!

Oh Hannah.....

....you make me smile. I love your passion for chocolate. The story behind the pictures....She got out the almond bark while I was rocking Jessa to sleep. I saw the chocolate all over her mouth and shirt so I asked her where she was getting the chocolate. She ran to the pantry and grabbed a partial brick of almond bark that I had wrapped up. Might I add that she was so kind to offer me a bite too! There was nothing to do but laugh, grab the camera, and take a picture. Oh yeah...and throw out the partially gnawed almond bark!

Chris and I weren't really paying attention to the girls, but they were giggling and having fun. Finally, Chris went to check on them. They had the puppy chow bowel down and were helping themselves and having a blast!

 

All about Jessa!!!

Yeah!!  Look at me.  Here is another post and it is still April.  How 'bout that?!  Anyway...my sweet Hannah is sick so she is taking a nap which gave me some time to focus on Jessa.  At 5 1/2 months she is 26" long and weighs 15lbs per our bathroom scale.

Here is what Jessa does in a routine day......

Jessa often starts out like this on her play gym on her back with the toys in place....

...then she tears down the toys and eventually gets rolled over to her tummy.  From this position she will roll/slide all over the floor.  No real destination in mind, she just squirms and that gets her clear off the mat.

Sometimes she likes to get a better view of what is going on....

Finally...when we need the most fun, she goes into the jumper....

It's been how long since I have blogged??!!

Wow!  Where does the time fly?  I promised to myself that I was going to try to blog once a week, then that changed to every other week, then to once a month...looks like I have missed it on all of those since the last that I blogged was December 14, 2009!!!!  Maybe I should make it my goal to blog at least twice a year.  I bet that I could do that as I am already half there after this blog.

Jessa is laying on top of Hannah's sleeper.  Look at how tiny she was (2 months) and how big Hannah is.  Just think Hannah once wore the sleeper that Jessa has on!!!!

Hannah kept pretending she was sleeping (this was in the spare room).  We decided that she was saying she needed a "Big girl bed" so we put this bed in her room and moved the crib over.  Now the girls share a bedroom.

How precious!!  Hannah is sharing with Jessa and standing guard over her baby sis. 

How busy my Hannah is!!!  She put herself in the baby stroller.  I felt bad because after I took the picture she was peddling around and tipped over backwards.  She also likes to climb on the elipical and "ex'cise"
